  • Confusing Wildcard and Subnet Masks: Remember: 0.0.0.255 is wildcard for /24, not subnet mask!

  • Not saving configuration: Copy running-config startup-config or changes are lost!
  • Subnet calculation errors: Remember to subtract 2 for network and broadcast addresses
